In a dual-roll shrink wrapping machine, two rolls of polyethylene (PE) film are positioned above and below the product feeding area. When bottles, cans, or other containers enter the wrapping section, the upper and lower films are brought together and heat-sealed to form a film sleeve around the grouped products. This sealing process creates a visible seal line on the finished package, where the two layers of PE film are joined together. KOMAL S-Series Automatic Shrink Wrapping Machines

The KOMAL S-Series includes three automatic shrink wrapping machine models: S10, S15, and S20. All three models support multi-lane product infeed and are designed exclusively for transparent polyethylene (PE) shrink film.

Each model uses a dual-roll film feeding system and is suitable for packaging grouped products in small and medium-sized production facilities. Depending on the model, the maximum packaging speed ranges from 10 to 20 cycles per minute.

How the Dual-Roll Sealing System Works

The S-Series uses two rolls of transparent PE shrink film, with one roll positioned above the product conveyor and another below it.

The upper and lower films are joined to form a film curtain. When a group of products reaches the wrapping position, a pneumatic pushing mechanism moves the products through the film curtain.

The sealing bar then moves downward to heat-seal and cut the film, forming a film sleeve around the grouped products. At the same time, the film curtain is rejoined for the next packaging cycle.

This process creates a visible seal line where the two layers of PE film are joined.

Applications

The S-Series is suitable for shrink wrapping grouped products such as bottled beverages, cans, cartons, soap bars, toothpaste boxes, paper reams, and shoe boxes.

KOMAL S-Series Models

S10 – Automatic Shrink Wrapping Machine

The KOMAL S10 is an automatic shrink wrapping machine with 90-degree product infeed and multi-lane feeding capability. It is designed for lower-speed packaging applications, with a maximum packaging speed of 10 cycles per minute.

S15 – Continuous-Motion Shrink Wrapping Machine

The KOMAL S15 features continuous-motion operation, inline product infeed, and multi-lane feeding capability. It is designed for medium-speed packaging applications, with a maximum packaging speed of 15 cycles per minute.

S20 – Fully Automatic Inline Shrink Wrapping Machine

The KOMAL S20 is a fully automatic inline shrink wrapping machine with multi-lane product infeed and a dual-roll transparent PE shrink film feeding system. It is designed for higher-speed packaging applications, with a maximum packaging speed of 20 cycles per minute.
